Flat Feet

The main supportive structure of the foot is its arch. When the arch loses strength, the bony framework begins to collapse, causing the foot to flatten. This weakness in the middle of the foot causes strain at the joints of both ends of the foot.
There are many causes of flat feet. Some are born with it, other acquire them due to arthritis, trauma, or musculoskeletal disorders. The excess strain from flat feet can cause other problems such as bunions, hammer toes, heel spurs, corns, arch strain, etc.

I injured my ankle in August 2010 and it never healed completely. I then had the PRP procedure done with Dr. Katz in July 2011. After a few weeks, my ankle had improved dramatically and I’m able to work out again without being in pain. I can also wear heels again!

Thank you for taking such good care of me for the past few months. I never had surgery before, and the ones with you went so smoothly that I no longer have the fear of an operating room. Plus you sweetness and sense of humor made it all extra special. I am glad Elise recommended you to me….and I would recommend you with no reservation. Could not be any happier with the great result I got from operating my feet. BTW, the physical therapists were also wonderful.

For years I have been dealing with pain in the arch area of my feet. I have flat feet and have dealing with this annoying pain for too long. I went to several podiatrists only to be told “There is nothing we can do”. I was given hard plastic orthopedic shoes which did not help lesson the pain. I went to Dr. Katz as a referral from a coworker…I was so happy I did! He suggested surgery for my pain and I agreed to get the procedure done. I was nervous going into surgery, but very pleased with the results. I no longer suffer from the excruciating pain I have experienced for so long. My dfeet are so much better and it’s all thanks to Dr. Katz. I appreciate the time and care you have given to all of my foot concerns. Thank you so much!

Dr. Katz doesn’t just treat the problem, he treats the patient. When I came to him with foot pain his course of action was tailored specifically for me and took into account my line of work and the goals I have for the future. I appreciate his honesty and straightforward approach, as well as how he genuinely cares for his patient’s well being. Doctors as superior as Dr. Katz are a rarity. Anyone with a foot problem-go see Dr. Katz!

I am one of your patients. You treated me on two occasions at your office and although I had an appointment for a third visit, I cancelled it because no further treatment was required. I am writing to not only thank you for the effective treatment, but to also provide you with the successful clinical result of combining the ointments you prescribed for future patients.
